Remains belong to Lumberton woman who went missing in July
LUMBERTON — The skeletal remains found Feb. 27 near railroad tracks on Powersville Road have been identified as a Lumberton woman who went missing last year.Susan McGirt, 55, of Mount Moriah Church Road, has been missing since July 4, when she was seen walking away from her assisted living facility, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.A cause of death has not been determined by the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office.
