Early school year? Cumberland County school board meeting Friday with state lawmakers
The Cumberland County Board of Education is expected to talk to state lawmakers on Friday about letting the school system start the school year earlier.The board voted unanimously last month to seek a local bill that will allow the school system to start 10 days before the Monday closest to Aug. 26.
