Fire and rescue training center planned for Cumberland County's industrial park
Cumberland County and Fayetteville Technical Community College plan to build an $18 million training facility for firefighters and emergency workers.The regional training center will be on 30 acres in the Cumberland County Industrial Park, which is off Tom Starling Road.Commissioner Jimmy Keefe, who has helped the effort for the training center, said the facility will set the standard for fire and rescue training.“This is truly an exciting time,” he said.
