Skeletal remains found near Lumberton railroad tracks
LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify skeletal remains found Tuesday afternoon on Heritage Drive.The remains were found by a survey crew in the 1200 block of Heritage Drive near the railroad tracks, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.The remains were sent to the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office to be identified, the release said.
