SBI: Suspended Harnett County deputy to be identified Thursday
LILLINGTON — Officials on Thursday plan to release the name of the Harnett County Sheriff’s Department deputy who was suspended this week after video of him apparently tackling a 14-year-old girl during an arrest was posted on social media.The State Bureau of Investigation, which is investigating at the request of Sheriff Wayne Coats and District Attorney Vernon Stewart, , plans to make the announcement, according to Patty McQuillan, a spokeswoman for the SBI.
