New judge appointed for Hoke, Scotland, two other counties
Gov. Roy Cooper has appointed lawyer Stephan Futrell of Rockingham to be a Superior Court judge for the judicial district that serves Hoke, Scotland, Richmond and Anson counties.Cooper’s office announced the appointment Thursday.Futrell will replace Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Richard Brown, who is retiring, the announcement says.The announcement says Futrell has been with the Kitchin Neal Webb Webb & Futrell law firm since 1985.
