Live Wire: Has the legislature passed a veterans' property tax exemption bill?
Q: I am a 100 percent permanent and total disabled veteran. I have been waiting for the property tax exemption for quite some time. I understand this topic was to be visited again in May for the setting of the 2018/19 state budget. When will this be passed? Why so much back and forth when this is something that will help disabled veterans and keep veteran here in N.C. versus most of us leaving or thinking about leaving for other more veteran-friendly states?
