Fleeing driver hits power pole on Ireland Drive causing blackout
A car fleeing from a Fayetteville police traffic stop Monday hit a pole on Ireland Drive, near Village Drive, resulting in a power outage in an area along Raeford, Cumberland and Hope Mills roads.It happened about 8:30 p.m.Two people in the car jumped from it and attempted to run away, but were quickly caught, said Officer Jeremy K.
