Cumberland Matters: Low Income Energy Assistance Program available
As chilly temperatures set in for autumn and the upcoming winter season, residents who face cold weather without the resources to stay warm may be able to get help with heating costs through the North Carolina Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP).The Salvation Army will begin accepting LIEAP applications on Dec. 3 to help qualified families with their heating costs.
