1 dead in Lillington motorcycle crash
LILLINGTON — A motorcyclist died Wednesday on U.S. 401 when the vehicle — estimated to be driven at 100 mph — veered off the highway and crashed into a ditch, the Highway Patrol said.The name of the motorcyclist was not released because family members have not been notified, a Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.The crash happened at 6:10 p.m. about 6½ miles south of Lillington, according to a report filed by Trooper C.S.
