Sears to close Fayetteville Cross Creek Mall store
Joseph Johnson bemoaned Monday’s news that Sears is closing its Fayetteville store, a downtown landmark for generations before it became one of Cross Creek Mall’s original tenants in the 1970s.Johnson, who is 50, said he and his grandfather, Eugene Evans, used to visit the store together when he was growing up.”He was a Craftsman tool person.
