Former NC county official pleads guilty to accepting kickbacks
ASHEVILLE — A former North Carolina official has pleaded guilty to conspiring to defraud the federal government by accepting bribes in exchange for government contracts.The Asheville Citizen Times reports former Buncombe County Assistant Manager Jon Creighton entered the plea Tuesday as part of an agreement.
