1. International Folk Festival: The International Folk Festival kicks off tonight and continues through the weekend. Grammy winners Terrance Simien & The Zydeco Experience open the festival on stage at Hay Street and Ray Avenue during the Arts Council’s Bon Temps Ball, a street dance and celebration in the spirit of Mardi Gras from 7 to 9 p.m. On Saturday, the Parade of Nations begins at 10:30 a.m. on Hay Street.
