Harnett County residents start cleanup, collect donations, as waters recede
BUIES CREEK – Waters from the Cape Fear River started receding in Harnett County on Tuesday, but flooding on the Little River continued to cause major problems. More than 40 roads were closed in Harnett County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the state Department of Transportation website, with travel in the southern part near the Little River being especially difficult.
