Florence still a major flooding threat even though system is out of here
Florence dropped an estimated 11 to 20 inches of rain on Cumberland County and the former hurricane that is now a tropical depression is out of here as of Monday morning.But the Cape River River is continuing to rise and posing an increasing flooding threat, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Raleigh said.The latest forecast that was available at 7 a.m. Monday shows the river is expected to crest at 61.8 feet on Tuesday.
