Cape Fear River could rise above 58 feet
After Hurricane Matthew, the Cape Fear River in Fayetteville reached its highest flood level since the Jordan Lake dam was built upstream more than 40 years ago.Hurricane Florence threatens to raise the river even higher than the 58.4-foot peak two years ago.As of 11:15 a.m. Thursday, the Fayetteville area was looking at 10 to 15 inches of rain through Saturday night, according to meteorologist Scott Sharp of the National Weather Service in Raleigh.”Based on projected […]
