2 Harnett County pedestrians killed in 24 hours
LILLINGTON — Two pedestrians were killed in 24 hours in unrelated incidents in Harnett County recently, the Highway Patrol said.On Sunday, Jose Luis Alvarez, 69, of the 500 block of Buchanan Road, about a mile north of N.C. 27 and Western Harnett High School, was hit about 4:30 p.m. by a 2002 Dodge passenger vehicle while crossing the road in front of his home, according to a report filed by Trooper R.M.
