Sinkhole closes Harnett County road
LILLINGTON — Reports of a sinkhole created by a water main break closed a road in northern Harnett County on Wednesday.The break was reported at 3:40 p.m. on the 6600 block of Rawls Church Road, near the Hector Creek bridge, between U.S. 401 and Christian Light road, according to Zach Sheen, assistant coordinator for Harnett County Emergency Management.The break is about 3½ miles south of Fuquay-Varina.The Northwest Harnett Fire Department on Christian Light […]
