North Fayetteville residents, businesses lose power
About 1,440 north Fayetteville Duke Energy customers — including schools and medical facilities — were without electrical power Wednesday and Thursday after a storm caused tree limbs to fall on power lines, a Duke Energy spokeswoman said.Also, a spokeswoman for South River Electric Membership Corp. said a faulty underground wire caused about 40 people in north Fayetteville to lose power Thursday.
