Inmate snack fight lands one in hospital
Onslow County— An Onslow County Jail inmate is accused of sending another inmate to the hospital after arguing about snacks. Mahdi A. Sharpless, 44, formerly of Branch Drive in Jacksonville was charged Aug. 8 by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office with felony assault by strangulation.
