SPRING LAKE — Former Mayor Ethel Clark died late Tuesday, Mayor Pro Tem James O’Garra said.“She’s left a footprint on this town the many years she has been here,” Mr. O’Garra said Thursday. “We’re going to miss her.”Mrs. Clark served as Spring Lake mayor from 2001-11, when she was defeated by Chris Rey.Mr. O’Garra said Mrs. Clark will be remembered for initiatives such as getting the town a new recreation center.
