Fayetteville minor league baseball team name to be revealed Sept. 12
An announcement nearly two years in the making will occur Sept. 12 when the name of Fayetteville’s new minor league baseball team is revealed.Mark Zarthar, president of the Fayetteville Baseball Club LLC, said Tuesday that a public celebration to unveil the name is scheduled for Festival Park from 5 to 9 p.m. The event will be held yards from the $37.8 million stadium under construction for the Advanced Class A Carolina League affiliate that is scheduled to begin play here in 2019.
