Animal Control to waive adoption fees for dogs, cats on Aug. 18
The Cumberland County Animal Shelter is waiving adoption fees for dogs and cats on Aug. 18 as part of a nationwide “Clear the Shelters” pet adoption event.This will be the first year that Cumberland County has participated in the event, said Elaine Smith, the director of Cumberland County Animal Control.Wake, Durham and Orange counties have participated in the past and have had success, she said.
