A retired Fayetteville postal employee has been charged with statutory rape involving children.LaFayette Brown Jr., 61, of the 400 block of North Platte Road, was charged Saturday with one count each of statutory rape or sex with a person who is 13 to 15 years of age, indecent liberties with children and misdemeanor sexual battery, according to Fayetteville police records.Brown also was charged with first-degree sexual offense with a victim under 13, records indicate.
