North Carolina sheriff's deputy wounded in traffic stop
LENOIR — A sheriff’s deputy in North Carolina has been shot and wounded during a traffic stop.The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release the shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday near Lenoir.The deputy has been flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte for treatment.
