Moore County business owners forfeit more than $750,000 to government
The owners of two convenience stores in Moore County forfeited $765,850 that was seized from their company, according to a release from the Raleigh office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina.A total of $865,850 that the government says was made from video sweepstakes gaming proceeds was seized from Mukesh Patel and Daxaban Patel, both of Southern Pines, and their company, Shree Zapesvari Inc., which does business as Jay’s Food Mart, the release said.
