I-95 North closed at N.C. 82 after truck hauling logging equipment hits bridge
A truck hauling logging equipment struck at least one bridge this afternoon, resulting in the closure of the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Cumberland County.It happened about noon, said Andrew Barksdale, a spokesman for the state Department of Transportation.As the hauler passed under the N.C. 82 overpass, the equipment hit the girders, knocking pieces of concrete from the supports, Barksdale said.
