Editor’s note: This story was originally published Sunday, Jan. 11, 1998.C.P. Tyson and his son came close to a bare-knuckle brawl in the magistrate’s office at the Town House (known today as the Market House) on Oct. 19, 1897. The Observer said, “It was quite a bad scene.” The older Tyson had accused his wife of bigamy. The boy was angry about the accusation.
