Fire damages duplex apartment in Bonnie Doone
Unattended cooking is blamed for a fire that damaged a duplex home in the Bonnie Doone neighborhood this afternoon.The fire in one unit at 5011 Fieldcrest Drive was reported at 5 p.m., according to a release from the Fayetteville Fire/Emergency Management Department.Light smoke was visible from the structure when firefighters arrived, the release said.
