Ex-Southern Pines PD employee faces 59 charges
SOUTHERN PINES — A former civilian employee of the Southern Pines Police Department was arrested earlier this month on 59 offenses that include embezzlement, obstruction of justice and illegally accessing computers.Joseph Clifford Leggett, 54, of Sanford, is charged with 22 counts of obstruction of justice, 19 counts of embezzlement, 17 counts of accessing computers and one county of forgery.Leggett, who was a property and evidence technician, turned himself in to […]
