RALEIGH — A church youth group’s trip took a tragic turn Tuesday when their sport utility vehicle lost part of a tire on Interstate 40 near Garner and overturned, killing a 10-year-old Sampson County girl, the Highway Patrol said.Gloria Joiner, a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Clinton, was taken to WakeMed Hospital where she died from head injuries, said investigating Trooper N.D.
