Temple history professor, author visits Headquarters Library on June 24
The Friends of the Cumberland County Public Library hosts guest author Bryant Simon on June 24 at 3 p.m. at Headquarters Library, 300 Maiden Lane.Simon wrote “The Hamlet Fire: A Tragic Story of Cheap Food, Cheap Government, and Cheap Lives,” which was published last year. The book covers the 1991 industrial disaster that took the lives of 25 people and forced an examination of the food processing industry.
