North Carolina man pleads guilty to killing his girlfriend
GREENSBORO— A man has pleaded guilty to killing his girlfriend and cutting up her body before dumping it beside a road in North Carolina.The News & Record of Greensboro reported 26-year-old Desmond Laquan Pendergrass of High Point pleaded guilty Monday in Greensboro.Pendergrass had been charged with killing 26-year-old Cree Asia Smith in June of 2016.Guilford County Superior Court Judge David Hall sentenced Pendergrass to life in prison.
