Fayetteville has begun replacing the Ann Street bridge, which has been closed for nearly five years due to fire damage.The bridge spans Big Cross Creek near the edge of downtown Fayetteville, between Grove Street and Bow Street, near a BB&T bank branch.The Fred Smith Co. was told on Friday to begin the job, a news release says, and demolition and replacement are expected to be finished in summer 2019.The cost is estimated at $1.6 million.“During […]
