Deputies found 7-year-old unresponsive in water
SANFORD — A 7-year-old boy lies in critical condition at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office found the child unconscious in water on Saturday at the Carolina Lakes subdivision.Deputies responded to the call at 900 Carolina Way in Sanford.According to a news release, the child had been playing in the water at a Carolina Lakes beach when a family member found him unresponsive.
