Deputies accuse nurse of taking $13,000 from elderly couple
TARBORO — Authorities have accused a North Carolina woman of stealing $13,000 from the elderly couple she was supposed to care for.The Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office told local news outlets 36-year-old Nekeya Jenkins was hired on May 26, and in less than a month had stolen the couple’s personal checks and debit cards.The sheriff’s office said the husband has since died due to medical issues.Jenkins is jailed on a $40,000 bond on charges of […]
