The Fayetteville City Council appears likely to proceed with efforts to prevent the state Department of Transportation from widening a residential portion of Cliffdale Road.A resolution in opposition to the widening, which would be from Cliffdale Road to McPherson Church Road, comes in response to residents on a nearby the street who have spoken against it.
