OTTAWA/TORONTO (Reuters) – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Wednesday the U.S. practice of separating immigrant children from their parents on its southern border was “unacceptable”, even as he resisted pressure to suspend a bilateral agreement designating the United States a “safe” country for refugees.
