Amateur radio enthusiasts gather at Methodist for annual Field Day
The Cape Fear Amateur Radio Society, established in 1972, is holding its annual Field Day at Methodist University this weekend. Members of the club, which encompasses six counties, set up stations Saturday to reach out to other ‘ham’ operators via methods such as Morse Code, single side band and more. The club members often pitch in to help out with communications during natural disasters. The event is to conclude Sunday at 2 p.m.
