Suspect in Spring Lake homicide arrested, charged with murder
A man wanted in the murder of a Spring Lake man earlier this month was arrested Thursday.Joseph Davone Murchison, 24, of the 100 block of Fleischman St. in Fayetteville, is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of Winfred Alfonza Worthy on May 1.Worthy, 62, was outside his residence on the 600 block of Mont Drive about 3:30 p.m. when he was shot multiple times.
