Plan advances to name Linear Park in Fayetteville for Harry Shaw
Plans to rename Fayetteville’s Cross Creek Linear Park in honor of civic booster Harry Faison Shaw advanced with a vote of the City Council on Thursday.The council voted unanimously to forward the idea to the Linear Park Corporation, a nonprofit organization that was instrumental to the creation and construction of the park.
