DEQ, in memo, tells lawmakers their Chemours bill could jeopardize agency's mission
State Department of Environmental Quality officials say a provision in a Republican bill that gives the governor the power to shut down Chemours is unnecessary.DEQ officials sent lawmakers a memo Thursday outlining concerns about the bill, which is called the Water Safety Act and was introduced May 17.
