North Carolina college apologiezes for owning slaves
WINSTON-SALEM— A North Carolina college has apologized after a report showed it owned slaves. The Winston-Salem Journal reports a research report released Thursday showed Salem Academy and College owned slaves who worked on campus as housekeepers, among other roles.
