Military Rec: Erwin wilderness race to benefit airmen
The town of Erwin will hold its seventh annual Erwin Wilderness Challenge, a fundraiser to support Air Force service members stationed at Pope Field.The challenge, scheduled for June 2, is a bike-kayak-run triathlon spread out through Erwin and the surrounding areas.Competitors start in downtown Erwin and ride 10 miles to Wilderness Landing.
