Historic Maxton church destroyed by fire
MAXTON — A church just outside Maxton was destroyed by fire Thursday morning, Robeson County officials said.The cause of the fire that destroyed Sandy Grove Baptist Church at 73 Deangelo Road, off N.C. 71, had not been determined by the afternoon, said Lt. Kevin Graham of the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
