School board expected to interview superintendent finalists within next two weeks
The Cumberland County Board of Education is getting closer to naming a new superintendent.Board Chairwoman Carrie Sutton said the board likely will interview finalists for the position within the next two weeks. The meetings are tentatively scheduled March 25-27, she said.The board is required to announce its meetings, but state law allows personnel discussions to be held behind closed doors.Once the board settles on a candidate, contract negotiations can begin.
