Pedestrian killed on Buttermere Road near Cliffdale Road in Fayetteville
A 33-year-old man was killed Saturday night after being hit by a car as he walked along Buttermere Drive, officials said.Joel Camacho Ortiz of the 6900 block of Wickersham Drive was hit by a 2009 BMW 328i about 8:17 p.m., according to a statement released by the Fayetteville Police Department.The driver of the BMW ran off the road and struck Ortiz before overturning in the front yard of a house, the statement said.
